Dalescroft
From the moment you arrive at this very special family run guest house you cannot help to appreciate the warmth, comfort and hospitality offered by your hosts Iris and Dennis Blower since 1983. Originally built in 1908 for the management of the world famous York Rowntrees chocolate factory (now owned by Nestle), this fine example of a Victorian town house was recently refurbished and sympathetically decorated to the original Victorian decor and theme by the present owners.

Dalrachney Lodge Hotel And Restaurant
Dating from 1845, Dalrachney Lodge was, up to 1970, a sporting lodge central to one of Scotlands largest estates. Additions were made to the building through the turn of the century, linking the Victorian and Edwardian periods. Many members of the Royal Family have stayed here as private guests of the Estate owner, including King George V who was a keen sportsman. His gun cart as used here can be seen in a local museum.
