The Hawthorns
Welcome to The Hawthorns, a traditional Scottish Bed and Breakfast situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Drymen, first stop on West Highland Way and beginning of Rob Roy Way. The Hawthorns is an ideal base to stay for a few days while exploring the delights of the surrounding areas of Loch Lomond, Trossachs, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Or just looking for a comfortable resting place for a while in the village of Drymen which boasts excellent hotels and pubs, and village stores.
Brief accommodation description
The Hawthorns was built in 1873 by the Duke of Montrose to attract a doctor to the village of Drymen, and for over 120 years it was home to four successive general practitioners. The property has been extensively restored in recent years to convert the Auld Doctors Hoose into a beautiful bed and breakfast.
