Built along one of the great coaching roads between London and Oxford, this hotel, dating back to 1688, has undergone significant improvements while still reflecting its long established historic heritage. The hotel boasts a long connection with the tales of highwaymen and famous stagecoaches. Overlooking the picturesque village common at Gerrards Cross, the main roads are readily accessible. Heathrow and central London are within easy reach and the hotel is also a mile from the mainline train station. The central situation is ideal for Legoland, Windsor Castle, Hampton Court, Woburn Abbey and Safari Park, Blenheim Palace, the racing at Ascot and Kempton Park. Many of the tastefully decorated rooms overlook the village common or the gardens. In addition there are four-poster bedrooms for that special occasion, state-of-the-art bedrooms for the discerning businessman and luxurious suites with sitting rooms. The hotel also includes a conservatory lounge and a Jack Shrimptons bar.
