Maitlandfield House Hotel
One of Scotlands Hotels of Distinction in the picturesque town of Haddington, just minutes from Edinburgh Maitlandfield, has the charm of an old country house together with the quality and efficiency of a modern hotel. This gracious two-storey mansion house was built in 1654 by the Earl of Wemyss and given to Colonel Maitland and his family shortly after being built. The house was converted into a hotel some 200 years later and today retains all the charm of an old country house together with the quality and efficiency of a modern hotel, that has been refurbished in September 2005. Enjoy Scottish cuisine, with a Portuguese twist that is supported by fine wines, a log fire and a choice of accommodation, from the comfortable to the deluxe rooms available. Please note that our hotel has a no smoking policy.
